These heat cycles can cause these heat spots to crack and cause the center of the flex plate to tear away from the rest of the plate.This Tow Series Flex Plate is engineered to withstand the abuse of heavy towing and not break the bank. Not only is this flex plate ideal for towing, but the additional strength makes it well suited for competition, off-road, and other severe-duty conditions. The flywheel is manufactured from cold rolled steel and features a black e-coat finish that helps prevent corrosion.
