The Gate King Tailgate Position Adjuster replaces your factory tailgate support cables with an adjustable system that lets you hold the tailgate in eight different positions. This gives you more control over how much of the bed is enclosed, making it easier to carry bikes, gear, gas jugs, and other long or oversized cargo. It is especially useful for trucks with shorter 5.5-foot and 6.5-foot beds where a little extra usable space can make a big difference.
The ratcheting design is simple to use: engage the system and raise the tailgate until you reach the position that works for your load. When you need the tailgate fully open again, manually release the clip and lower it normally. Once the tailgate is closed, the Gate King automatically resets for regular operation. The system is built for demanding truck use with hardened stainless steel chromoly arms, stainless steel hardware, a weather-resistant factory E-coating, and a black powder-coated finish, giving you a strong and durable alternative to factory tailgate cables.
