The Fleece FPE-CLNTBYPS-0712 Coolant Bypass Kit will equalize the coolant temperatures throughout the engine in your 2007.5-2012 Dodge Ram with the 6.7L Diesel. The coolant flow issue to the rear cylinders on the 6.7L Diesel is one of the most significant problems. The cylinders at the back of the 6.7L Engine encounter the highest coolant temperatures as a result of poor coolant flow. In particular, the rear of the block experiences excessive pressure due to this temperature rise, which causes the freeze plugs to pop out externally.The Fleece Coolant Bypass Kit has the fit and finish of an OEM part and will integrate perfectly with your truck. This coolant bypass system operates based on coolant temperature rather than excessive pressure by including a second thermostat. By maintaining constant temperatures throughout all six cylinders, resolving the problem before the pressure becomes a concern.
