The core of a bar-and-plate intercooler acts as a heat sink, efficiently soaking up heat in stop-and-go traffic and dissipating it while in motion. The sealing in bar-and-plate units is superior, with bars and brazing sheets providing a 100% seal between ambient and charge sides.
