The Carli Suspension Radius Arm Drop Brackets (3.5" Lift) CS-FRAD-LVL-2325 is engineered to correct the caster in your lifted Ford F-250/350 4WD. The 2023 and up Super Duty presented some new challenges, specifically relating to the caster. The steering assist and Ford's 1"- 3.6" allowable caster range seems to work ok for those equipped with factory, relatively low-mileage Super Duties, but once a lift or larger diameter tire enters the equation, the handling at this low caster specification leaves many wanting. When lifting the front of the Super Duty 3 - 3.5", the caster is reduced by approximately 1.5". For the 2020-22 Super Duty, Carli provides a 2" caster shim, which is enough to restore this caster and add a little more. Unfortunately, this "touch more" is rarely enough for proper tracking. This leads Carli to recommend their Adjustable Radius Arms, proven to add an extra 2.5" of caster (when maxed out). Combining the Carli Arms and 2" shims results in a Super Duty on 37? tires that stay in a lane and return the steering wheel to center after a turn, better than a stock truck. The factory Ford caster specification is 1.0"-3.6" for the driver's side and 1.3"-3.9" for the passenger's side. These specs are fine for stock Super Duty with smaller tires; the lower end of the range tracks and drives as it should. Honestly, Carli put a ton of time behind the wheel of 2023 and newer Super Duties with this caster spec, and they all drive like they should without any signs of death wobble or instability. Carli has always preferred the tracking and handling of larger tires to be in the 3"-5" range. They run up to nearly 7" with no adverse effect (no wobble, tracking, or driveshaft binding issues) aside from a "heavy" steering wheel feel. This heavy steering would only likely apply to an XL/XLT without the electric steering assist of the higher trims. Carli set out to design a Radius Arm Drop Bracket solution that would be more cost-effective than (and stackable with) the Adjustable Radius Arms and provide ample caster correction, even with factory arms. The factory radius arm frame pivot is tricky as it's a stamp-formed bracket with a deep lip around the edge. Normally, Carly designs their drop brackets to bolt to the inside of the stock pivot, form along the bottom of the factory bracket, then shape to fit the stock radius arm exactly as their 5.5" drops do. The problem is that there is too much drop, which would cause excessive caster for the lift height and an upward radius arm angle at ride height. Back to the drawing board, Carli's engineer thought outside the box (well, outside the factory bracket). Avoiding the above constraint altogether, the Leveling Drop was designed to sandwich the stock bracket from the outside, allowing them to achieve the proper drop height. To make this work, Carli picked up the same rear support as their 5.5" drops, then their bracket sandwiches the factory bracket. To accommodate the "lip" on the stock bracket, they provide a thick spacer that keys into the Carli drop bracket, taking up the gap on the outside, then a thinner spacer to take up the same slack on the inside. Finally, a dual crush sleeve provides inside support to the stock bracket. The exposed bolt shank signifies the location of the two ears of the stock bracket when installed.Features:Bolt-On InstallationDrops Pivot Point For Ideal Arm Angle On A Carli 3.5" LiftConstructed From 1/4" Steel With A Durable Powder-Coated FinishFinished With A Durable Black Powder Coat For Long-Lasting Protection
