Why would you want to upgrade the factory air intake system on your 2020-2025 GM 3.0L Duramax 1500? Well, that answer is multi-faceted. For one, airflow. Your engine thrives off of the turbo working efficiently and this can only be accomplished with adequate airflow. While the stock air box technically delivers airflow, more airflow will equate to even more power and better efficiency. This means more pulling power and greater MPG's.
Filter Options:
Large Three Layer Performance Air Filter: This 360-degree radial flow air filter features our oil-free Pro DRY S media with three layers of synthetic media for maximum convenience. Its progressive layering provides great filtration efficiency and dust holding capacity, while not requiring the use of oils. This media is best suited for street and light off-road use. Its inverted top makes for more filter surface area, resulting in longer service intervals.
Large Ten Layer Performance Air Filter: Momentum’s unique filter-to-housing interface was built to feature the largest air filter possible. This 9” tall, pre-oiled 360-degree radial flow air filter features a 5-1/2” flange and our pre-oiled Pro 10R media with ten layers of progressively finer cotton gauze media for maximum performance and filtration. Its inverted top and large surface area provide much longer life between maintenance intervals, while reinforced metal provides maximum strength to prevent filter collapse. This media is best suited for off-road applications.
