When you install what most would call a "turbo back" exhaust on your Duramax, you're not really getting a turbo back kit. Upgrade the last vital component for superior exhaust flow by replacing the stock turbo direct pipe with this ATLAS Series piece from AFE. Optimize your Duramax's airflow to improve throttle response with aFe's ATLAS 3" turbo down-pipe. Constructed from 3" mandrel bent steel tubing for maximum flow, the larger tube diameter and smooth transition bends allow increased airflow between your OE turbo and exhaust to reduce EGT's for quicker turbo spool times. The CNC machined heavy duty inlet flange with turbine gasket and V-band outlet flange ensure an OE-style, 360 degree sealing surface. Coated with a black finish, the ATLAS turbo down-pipe is wrapped with thermal header tape to reduce EGT's for improved performance and durability. FLOW AND PERFORMANCE: The ATLAS turbo down-pipe is made from 3" mandrel bent steel tubing offering smoother transition bends for low turbulence to deliver quicker throttle response. PERFECT FIT: The ATLAS turbo down-pipe is an upgrade to the OE down-pipe and utilizes the factory mounting locations for true bolt-on performance. LEAK-FREE SEAL: CNC machined, heavy duty inlet flange and quality V-band flange are used for a complete 360 degree sealing surface at the turbo housing and exhaust system. FINISH: This down pipe is coated with a black finish and wrapped in thermal header tape for better insulation. This reduces EGT's and under hood temperatures.
